Winry receives a set basic set of tools and spare parts, designed for things nearest to what an automail would be like. There's also some high quality chocolate and some nice tea. Additionally, there are some moisturizing face masks and scented bath bombs.

Congrats for the amputating date, that's great news!🥳 Yes, I'm still working on it and I can always make changes into it later too if you want anything added or removed from it.

Well, I always tell first-timers that the surgery to install it is anywhere from notable painful to excruciating pain especially since I need to connect each nerve to its permanent housing system in your body. So first of all there is all of that.

Then there's recovering from that surgery which includes time to fully master using your automail -- in most cases that takes three years or more back in my home world. Ed got his to work in a year with determination but he is an extremely rare exception for that. A girl back home is also getting an automail arm but we don't know how that's going for her since she didn't get it from me. (And even if she did, who knows if I'd know how her recovery is going since she might have left somewhere else from my home in that case too).

Anyway, if you jump into everything with it way too soon, you will have problems with it like it begins malfunctioning and won't work like it should work. But we can speed up the healing process with magic here, something that we can't do back in my home world. But I'm a Spring, so you'll be in great hands for healing that or other things if you ever need a healer.😊

The surgery sounds like it'll suck but I'll get over the pain. Anything to be able to use my right again.

I'll try not to overdo it out the gate. I'm sure it'll heal-up fine with your magic and whatever else healing stuff I can find. But I'll still hold back on doing Quests for a little while. At least a month or two. And I'll come to you if I experience any malfunctions.

Do you know how soon I can get my new arm after this one's been removed? I figure it won't be immediately afterwards.

I'll gladly teach you how to do their basic maintenance and stuff too, you know, teach you any and all the things, that you want to learn or know about them.

Yes, I could show you a lot of automails! Ones that I'm building from scratch, and those that I've already built here, and so on but also even my dog, who arrived here with me, has one and you could see that too. And my childhood friend, who's also here, has two too that I'll gladly show them to you too. You can also always ask any questions about having automail(s) from him too. His name is Edward Elric, but everyone calls him Ed, his username on the network is fullmetal.

We live in Coldreach, so I have even more stuff there than I have in my work place at the Research Center. You're welcome to come visit our home anytime and I'll show / tell everything to you. Of course I'll gladly answer any questions / teach things / show (even more) things anytime later too.

hi! i hope this wasn't too forward of me to message like that. i just wanted to touch base and see if you were able to teach me some things. even just some basics? i'm no expert or anything, with biology or engineering, but. i'm sure i could learn some. i figured i could check some things out of the library to start with, but it was probably best to talk to you as well. for specifics, rather than just about prosthetics in general, with this automail.

if it's not imposing, i'd love to come and see! and i'll keep elric-san in mind, too. i guess, wherever is easier for you, coldreach or the research center. i'm pretty new here, so i don't yet have a lot scheduled or anything. so, just let me know?

Not too forward at all, I welcome anyone messaging to me anytime! Or to come poke me at Research Center whenever I'm there and I'll make time for that meeting. And yes, I'll be able to teach you basics, you really don't even need to be an expert on those areas -- you can leave that to me, since it's not needed with regular maintenance and all the basic stuff. (Though if you want to learn, I can teach, not that I've been working on either for as long as my teachers...) I'll gladly talk with you anytime and mm, automails are linked directly to nervous systems so they're different than normal / general prosthetics. But it's never a bad idea to learn about the more common prosthetics either.

And not imposing at all, you really are welcome to visit anytime or ask me any questions anytime anywhere, be it one way or another via these phones or face to face anywhere. Hmmm, of course Research Center would be easier to find as someone, who's new here but it's not like our home is difficult to find either, so let's meet there -- I have an even better workshop there and everything, it will be great and no one will rush in to talk about Research Center stuff either.

So since you're coming over to our place sooner rather than later, saaaaay, what kind of food, drinks and desserts do you like? I'll make something for all of us!

i figure i can check the library for some books to learn some basics. but i can't be sure if there might be some specifics with automail that i'd need you to teach me. i'm guessing if it connects directly to the nerves, that would help with mobility? i just want to be able to help kacchan. support him through this. i know more major repairs and stuff, we'd have to ask you, but at least if i learn some basics that might help.

but uh. i like katsudon? that's my favourite. but i'm sure whatever you make will be fine! you don't have to do all that just for me to come and ask you about automail.
